Received this one as a gift from a generous BA thanks! Cool upside down label error on my bottle!

Appearance: Pours a murky caramel to tawny auburn with honey folds. The crown is small, dull white, shows little retention and moderate lace.

Smell: Oak, herbal hops, citrus hops, citrus zest, mild whiskey notes, and a hint of caramel / candi syrup.

Taste: Same as the nose.

Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with prickly carbonation.

Overall: An interesting brew that could use some refinement. The oak, booze, and prickly carbonation kind of work together but overall the beer seems disjointed. (601 characters)
