Club Colombia is the premium adjunct in Colombia and now there is Roja and this limited and now this hard to find special edition Negra. Popping the top this brew has a predominantly adjunct smell, typical to adjuncts. The beer pours to a dark deep barely translucent brown with a nice creamy head. Taste has hints of toasted malts and an even twinge of bitterness. Mouthfeel is rather thin, not watery, but not far off. Really not as much roasted flavors as would be expected for the color of the brew. A good "dark" beer for a hint of roasted malts in hot weather. For what it is, and where beggars can't be choosers, not too bad.

Black color with just one finger head with short retention.
Incredible faint aroma of toasted malts, I was expecting something bolder given its black appearance.
Flavor of slightly toasted malts and caramel, and hints of earthy hops and coffee.
More of a Schwarzbier, the best one from the Club Colombia series.
