Roasted malt, toffee & caramel. Bit more subdued scent here than in other abbey ales, but not bad although kind of faint.

Lighter carbonation, some bitterness along the sides of the mouth but mostly fremented out and more water like.

Light amber, poured into small glass (330 ml or so) in Paris from a 1/2 liter can. Had initially a slight 1/4" or so head but has quickly dissipated. Not much real lacing, glassware isn't best for that though.

Mybe a bit of caramel in the flavor with a hint of grassiness from the hops, seems a bit odd and out of style here in the flavor. Not bad, just not exactly a belgian abbey ale flavor

6.2% abv so sessionable in that aspect, it's not bad but I'm bothered by the aftertaste a bit and that it's out of character.

This seems out of category and not exactly all that exciting. Taste isn't too bad, but I was expecing a belgian ale and don't know that this does that.

500 ml can from Carrefour for which it is made

Pours golden/light orange with small off-white head that soon diminishes, no lacing. Aroma is light earthy and spicy malt, some yeast can be felt and fruity esters (mostly orange).

Taste is sweetish and spicy malt, light hops with smooth alcohol, hints of yeast and quite dry finish, light malty aftertaste with more alcohol. Mouthfeel is light-medium with high carbonation, some warming feeling.

Overall, it is quite average, but amazingly excellent for a supermarket beer.

Mmmm, a little disapointment from thinking it's an abby beer. Poured with a small off white head and no lace. Aroma is of rich caramel, malt, and toffee. Nice. Flavor isn't quite as good, but not bad. Body is ok and so is carbonation. Finish is a simple sweet medium malt. Nothing special at all. Had so many better of this style and supposed provenance.
