L: Pours brilliant gold under a 2” long lasting white foam collar that grips the side of the glass.
S: Big bread aromas, medium low noble hops, lightly sweet grain, very faint sulfur.
T: Drinks smooth and crisp with a balance between malt and hops that produces spicy bread flavors. No fruit or movie popcorn butter flavors, but has a slight mineral character that is not overbearing and helps emphasize the hops.
F: Medium body and carbonation.
O: An easy to drink beer that is very balanced and smooth with a firm malt body.

This is an almost colorless, crystal clear beer with a glowing golden hue. It easily supports a thick, spongy, white head. The aroma is faint but unfortunately soapy. The flavor is light and bready, with a slight grain mustiness that reminds me of mushrooms. I guess this is typical of the style, and I'd like to try it with mushroom pizza. The finish is faintly metallic and hoppy.

The mouthfeel is very interesting, it is light but has a kind of syrupy-buttery-melts-in-the-mouth quality where it gradually gets heavier. I like it. This is a very drinkable beer but I'm just not in love with this style.

I'm likin' the Dortmunders a lot, and this is a good example. Much more noticeable malt flavor than a pale American lager, just a little more taste of German hops. Very drinkable, but too tempting to slam one down, especially after an evening spent cooking chile pork stew for the homebrew club picnic!

What can I say The first thing that came to mind was a strong Heiniken the taste was similer but body and mouthfeel a little firmer. Still I would take this over Heiniken any day this was my first Dortmunder Export and I would love to try others and compair. All in all not bad I'll have another.

Had this beer in Naples, Italy of all places. It was a good answer to my Heineken problem.

Anyhow, appearance wise the beer was served to me with a decent finger or two thick fluffy white head, which retained decently. Nice lacing, and a clear golden body.

Mild aroma, hints of hay and cereal grains.

The taste is a little fuller and sweeter than anticipated. Mild hops presence is detectable, but has a sweetness quickly counters. There's a slight tobacco taste here too.

Overall a decent drinkable beer. It was crisp and left the palate satisfied. Not an overly interesting beer, but a good quencher.

Appearance: pale golden with a one or two finger head and good lacing. Nice carbonation.

Smell: fresh, a bit floral, light malts.

Taste: some bitterness, malty with some floral-perfumey flavors, maybe a bit grassy and skunky.

Mouthfeel: medium body with good carbonation. It drinks easily. Pretty much the same as a lot of macro beers, but with something different.

Overall: a good, drinkable beer with nothing that really reamrkable or disgusting.

A: Poured with a large, white, frothy head that hung around for a good while. Body is dark yellow, very clear, and effervescent.

S: Touch of spicy, noble hop aroma. Bready malt. Hint of DMS.

T: Fairly sweet maltiness coming through... refreshing. Just a touch of fruitiness seems to be in there. Very light bitterness in the finish... too light for the style.

M: Medium-bodied, moderate carbonation.

D: A pretty solid example of a Dortmunder Export beer, but I'd like to see more bitterness in the finish of this beer.
