Format: a giant, plain white can (1L) which is always good. Bit tacky otherwise. Was a special that came with a DAB stein glass.

Appearance: poured out a clear light yellow with chunky carbonation across the profile. A one-finger white head fluffs up and lasts for quite some time before dropping to a creamy, thick cap. Looks pretty good.

Aroma: smells a bit better than your standard lager - grass hops with biscuit malts and a bready quality. Some cereal grain and earth.

Taste: follows the nose to the letter. Grass hops, biscuit malts, grain and earth. Quite a light flavour, but that's kind of what you want with a lager.

Aftertaste: the flavours fade pretty quickly, with a slight hop bitterness lasting.

Mouth feel: light- to-moderate in body with a moderate carbonation to bring the flavour through. Works pretty well.

Overall: not a bad lager at all. A bit better than your usual American Adjunct Lager for instance. Quite enjoyable in the 1L stein glass. Okay for AU$53 a case of 24 x 330mL.

A: Poured into my trusty pilsner flute. Pale straw. Slightly darker than a macro lager. Finger and a half eggshell head. Vigorous carbonation, but the head holds on for a bit. Nice retention in the glass. Looks overcarbonated, but otherwise pretty good.

S: Grassy, grainy, maybe slightly herbal. Not much of the biscuit malt in here. Slightly spicy and floral, as well.

T: Big hit of grass and grain in the front of the tongue. Slightly sweet in the mouth, this beer takes a decidedly macro turn afterwards, with hop extract notes. Herbal, a little spicy. Mid palate of white grapes. Malt is more is somewhere between a saltine and a biscuit. Aftertaste takes on more of the spicy, floral notes.

M: Surprising. While carbonated, it's not nearly as bad as one would think looking in the glass. There is some malt to weigh down the carbonation and keep it in check.

O: This beer is decent. While none of the flavors are going to wow and it definitely has that mass produced taste, it hits enough on all the right notes. Definitely my favorite green bottle.
