Liter can and mug combo from BevMo in Livermore, CA

A - Poured a golden color with a white head that leaves lacing behind

S - Is of grainy pale malt slightly stinky

T - Better than it smells sweet grainy malt that finishes clean

M - This beer has a lighter body with medium carbonation to it

O - This really isn't my first choice fr a beer but for what it is its very easy drinking with a good taste making this liter not much of a chore worth a try sometime if you see it

Appearance: 500ml can. Poured a clear golden with a medium head. The head faded fast. Very little carbonation.

Smell: Mildy hoppy nose. Light hints of bread and yeast. Somewhat floral.

Taste: Enjoyable hoppiness. Nice maltiness gives it balance and body. Hoppy bitterness towarsd the finish and then smoothes out nicely.

Mouthfeel: Smooth and crisp.

Drinkability: A nice pils. I could down this easy drinker frequently. Enjoyable even if the style is not my favorite.

Pours a clear golden with an average lifespan, fluffy white head that sticks well. Bready and mildly sweet nose. Standard German pilsener malts making up the bulk of the flavor with some light floral hops in the finish. Thin with a drab and dull bitterness but still rather drinkable.

500 ml can poured into a pint glass.
Abundant foamy head dissipates quickly. Typical Lager pour. Clear yellow appearance. Smooth grainy taste. Light session qualities but flavorful enough to be very enjoyable.
One of the better lagers out there. Loving the Dortmunder style from a mighty fine brewery.

A- Golden color, very expected for the type of beer this is.

S- Smells good. Not too skunky but has the bitter aroma I like in this type of beer.

T- Very nice taste. I wish there was a little more bite to the hops. Very refreshing to sip on in a tall-boy.

M- Very crisp and perfectly carbonated.

O- Very much like a Bitburger but without as much bitterness to it. Very pleasant to drink but I would go with a Bitburger over this beer any day. The Lock and Keel in Ballard, Seattle sells this beer for 3.75 which is a super good deal for the area and brew.

Refreshing and quenching beer.

12 oz green bottle with no freshness date, there is some odd code on the back label but that means nothing to me.

Appearance: Very pale yellowish golden colour, filtered clarity for sure. The thick and foamy white head sticks to the glass quite well.

Smell: The malt in the aroma is as faded as those acid washed jeans I had in the 80’s … weird muted hop in the nose as well.

Taste & Mouthfeel: Such a boring palate of pale pilsner malt, nice crispness and it really adds to the refreshing quality. The malt comes and goes with a clean flavour … again it is boring. Even worse is the hop bitterness which is like a knife without a sharp edge … dull with no flavour.

Notes: Two words “Hop Extract”. I have had better from this brewery, this beer is too processed and has no natural feel to it … a sad state from the last time that I tried it which must have been at least five years ago. Lastly … it tastes sterile.

Haven't had this one in a while - good to get back to the cheap German pilsners every once in a while.

Pours a light golden colour, leaving a thin white head that only survives a few moments. The smell is uncharacteristically sweet, with notes of honey and bread. Hops are present, but not dominant.

A tasty, sweet pilsner that tastes of honey and biscuits, with perhaps nuts and grains. Thin, but certainly very drinkable. If you're looking for a decent pilsner under 2 bucks a can, you could certainly do worse.

12oz. green bottle. Poured a clear and fizzy golden color with an initial thick head that quickly died out. No lacing of the glass. Aromas are tough to pull out but I note some bitter hops and some sweetness. Flavor is more of the same, balanced nicely. Fresh-tasting and crisp, it's another beer that would be a good one for a summer day.

This was surprisingly good and inexpensive. Substantial malt presence, this beer has a real backbone and full flavor. Hops are strong and quite zesty but kept perfectly in check. Very drinkable; I could imagine spending a happy evening with this brew. Green bottle and travel distance are only drawbacks, and the odor wasn't wonderful. Still, I wish this was more readily available. The price was right (I think I payed $6 a sixer?). Heineken, Becks, and Amstel drinkers would especially enjoy this; it is far superior to those widespread and offensive beers.

Meh, a decent beer, nothing special, looks a little more impressive than American adjunct lagers, yellow nonetheless. No discernable hop aroma, just a canned beer smell (not elite canned beer).

Taste, a little prickly, tiny probably hallertau hops or something similar. Light body. Mouthfeel remains this way. Drinkability, sure, not annoying, easy to drink. Nothing wrong with this beer on a hot day in the sun. The sun skunks it, making it even better IMHO.

Pours a fluffy white head over a crystal clear light straw body. Fairly clean aroma. Flavor is also clean with hints of pilsner malt and a rather astringent hop bitterness that lacks any real falvor other than sharp- if that's even a flavor. Lean body with moderate to high carbonation. Drying.

From a “Beers of the world” sampler I received as a gift. I can’t say I’d actively seek this guy out again, but I’ve had much worse examples of the style.

(Served in a fluted strange)

A- This beer pours a straw yellow body with a touch of haze and a creamy white foam that you could write your name in. There is a sea of microbubbles swirling around in the body.

S- The clean slightly sweet aroma of green sulfur has a flint note to it and some freshly crushed pils malt comes through in the finish and grows.

T- The fresh pils malt flavor has hints of honey malt and a dry finish with a slightly sweet sulfur green hop flavor that lingers only for a moment.

M- This beer has a light crisp mouthfeel with a tight fizz.

O- Even though I describe it as sweet, it is not. There is just enough sweetness to mellow the sulfur and give the malt that fresh flavor. This is very easy to drink by the liter.

Tried this one at The Road House in Deerfield, WI.

I didn't realize it was in a green bottle when I first saw it in the cooler. Oh well. It of course had a hint of a skunky smell and flavor that I'm not a fan of. Other than that, it tasted a lot like an AAL. Some wheat or grain flavor with a bit of malt. Very light-bodied beer and relatively drinkable.

500ml can, sexy, orderly German label (is it just me?). And how is a normal aluminum can's contents "Draft Quality", one wonders?

This beer pours a clear medium golden yellow hue, with three fingers of puffy, billowy, and thinly foamy off-white head, which renders some varied webbed lace around the glass as it dutifully recedes.

It smells of crisp, biscuity pale cereal grain, a touch of sassy lemon oil, and grassy, hay-like hops. The taste is biscuity, bready pale malt, some further breakfast cereal goodness, muted and blended citrus notes, and soft grassy, floral noble hops.

The carbonation is fairly sedate, hardly a tic here or there, the body a stoic medium weight, mostly smooth, and yet a tad creamy in its slowly building frothiness. It finishes off-dry, the cereal malt holding tough, and the lingering grassy, weedy hops lending a certain low-fi clean crispness.

An enjoyable straight-up balance of grain and hop, with just enough zip to keep it interesting in any 'shall I have another' dithering. Nothing complicated, just a solid German brew, for what it's worth.
