Purchased a sixer of this for nostalgiac purposes as it was quite common during my trip to vietnam with 10 veterans in 2005.
Pours a pure ass piss yellow with a minimal white head that leaves minimal lacing.
Nose is ricey corny typical adjunct lager.
Taste follows with a tiny bit more sweetness than usual, almost like a tortilla chip grain profile with absolutely minimal hops. Pretty much like bud, or miller, or any of the big boys but with a touch dirtier malt profile.
mouthfeel is exactly what you expect.
Drinkability is solid, and was much more solid in Vietnam. hahaha. I drank so much tiger, bia hanoi, carlsberg, and of course bia hoi, i barely remember it. hahaha.
Overall, a macro lager. Plain and simple, but it did help to add a little more vividness to some memories, so well worth the $10 for the sixer (even though its 1/5 that price in nam) haha.
