A: clear golden body with a plume of white head on top. retention is OK with some pretty good lacing. carbonation looks a little lacking.

S: corn and little bit of rice. a little bit of bread too. some hops are detectable, but not much.

T: sweet malt and corn. bland. a little metallic. too metallic to be coming out of a bottle. sweetness emerges more as the beer warms. almost a little sugary.

M: moderate carbonation on a light body.

D: pretty bland and boring. the flavors aren't great and with the addition of the metallic component is a bit detracting.

I found this Singaporean Beer at Binny's Beverage Depot in Chicago and at Feldman's Market in McAllen, Texas. I must say this is a good beer from Asia, it has a simple but complex taste, goes down great, and does not leave you to bloated. It pours clear, with a light golden color, with white laces running up to the average head, which dissapates quicky. The body is solid, with decent carbonation, and has decent malt aroma. There is a slight metalic edge, but is overshadowed by a malty aftertaste.

500 ml can from LCBO. Served cold into a pint glass.

Appearance - Crystal clear pale golden color. 1.5 fingers of white head and some bubbles. Nothing spectacular but decent looking enough.

Smell - Slightly metallic with some grainy aromas and not much else.

Taste - Mild sweet grain taste and not much else. Drying sensation on the tongue after every sip.

Mouthfeel. Light body and medium carbonation. Rather thin feeling with a dry finish, but is surprisingly refreshing.

Overall - Ok, not a great beer by any stretch of the imagination, and not even a very good beer, but for what it is, it isn't terrible. Of course there are other options at cheaper price points that are better too.

11.2 fl oz. bottle, with no apparent bottled on or freshness date present. My second of these odd Asian lagers, this one from Singapore, acquired as part of a mixed six pack at the local Binny's. Expectations are average based on the style.

Poured into a Stone Arrogant Bastard pint glass.

A - Pours the typical lager gold - maybe just a shade darker than some of the others with two fingers of foamy white head with less than impressive staying power. Hardly any lacing to speak of. Typical appearance.

S - Smell is of grain / corn, huskiness, and a sort of pilsner / adjunct maltiness. Not a whole lot to be said. I guess it sort of reminds me of a Miller Lite, albeit maybe a touch more husky.

T - Taste follows the nose - husky / earthy / grainy, sharply metallic, some might say slightly nutty and/or grapey.

M - Feel is crisp, mostly clean, with a bit of stickiness / graininess lingering on the palate. Sharp metallic bite on the end. Dry, grainy finish. Light bodied with moderate carbonation. Easy drinking.

Overall, typical imported lager fare. Easy to drink, mildly inoffensive, low on flavor - I could definitely see it pairing well with some spicy Asian dish though. In that sense, I would have it again. I just tried Singha the other day also (a lager from Thailand) which I think I prefer just a bit more. This one is more metallic.

Poured golden clear body. No head whatsoever.
This beer was poured into a glass, but still smells somewhat metallic.
I wish I drank this beer straight out of the fridge, it was out of the fridge for about an hour before I had the chance to drink it.
Actually tastes slightly better than the smell. Mostly of light flavored malts, and what I imagine is just corn. And still a slight metallic taste
Mouthfeel is fine, again if it was colder it would have helped.
Overall, a beer I only got because it was a $2 16oz at the food spot I was at and I really wanted a beer.

Another day, another lager.
Pours a clear golden color. The head is average, white with medium retention.
There is the familiar malty aroma with grains.
As well as the sweet taste at the beginning, followed by grainy body, coming together with nice bittery finish.
Drinkable, light with enough bittereness to freshen you up. Thumbs up.
