I tied this at Quencher's Saloon in Chicago yesterday. $5 for an 11.2oz brown bottle. My first ever beer from Singapore.
The beer poured a brilliant gold color. It was so clear I could see and still read the menu list thru the glass. Nice 1½ finger white head that lasted awhile and left some decent lacing on the glass. Nothing wrong with the appearance at all.
The beer smells like bubblegum. Under all the sweetness there is also some grain and cooked corn aroma, but mostly it smells like sweet bubblegum.
This beer is sweet for a lager - too sweet for my tastes. Under all the candy-ish sugar there is some grain and corn flavor and even a small amount of hop bite, but nowhere near enough to balance out the sweetness.
Smooth and medium bodied but a bit under carbonated.
Too sweet for me to drink a bunch of these, but no noticeable alcohol either, so if you don't mind the sugar, drink up.
