For those of you looking for this bar, its right next to Deansgate railway station.

The Knott Bar is a great place to enjoy a drink. Its glass frontage and balcony patio make for good people watching, and the comfy seating inside is condusive to a nice pint. Everything rumbles when a train goes over the viaduct. The staff appear to be very knowledgeable and efficient, and the range of draft and bottled beers is extensive and well chosen. The even had Kentucky Breakfast Stout in when I was there! I believe there were seven (or maybe eight) handpumps behind the bar, which is absolutely fantastic. They also had a sign displayed that showed they were the pub of the year for their CAMRA branch, which is a great indication that they know how to handle a cask beer. I'd come for some Marble Arch, but the barman recommended a beer from Dark Star, and gave me a small sample. By jove, he was right! A fantastic ale in top notch shape.

Awesome place in my old hometown. I'd forgotten how good it is, and I'd happily recommend it to any visitors.

This is an excellent beer bar/pub in the Deansgate section of Manchester. The pub is tied to Marble Brewery (a micro located in Manchester). As well as Marble beers there was a nice selection of other microbrewery beers on cask. Some of the cask beers were organic, some vegan. There were also bottled Belgian and other Eurobeers.

There is rather upscale bar food available (12-8 each day) - quite well done.

There is a large glass frontage just right for people watching. Also, a second floor balcony area. Regular table seating is available for dining as well as groupings of leather chairs and couches for more relaxed imbibing.
