This is my second Great Lakes beer. I'm excited to see it infiltrating DC's beer scene.. I see it on-tap at quite a few places around town, and it seems to be a good thing.
This beer was the second in my flight of three at RFD in Chinatown, DC. It was pretty good. Smell was a bit sour, but had a nice floral/hoppy aroma as well. Taste was bitter and hoppy, well balanced. I'd have this beer again.

A: Orange Amber with just a tinge of brown. Thin creamy head
S: At first a pleasant fruity smell, however it yielded to a musky smell not unlike the home brewed IPA I attempted. Very strange. If not for the musky after smell it would be very good.
T: Different. Not bad at all, but for an IPA, not great. Honestly, it tasted as if Guinness added hops to their draught to try and make an IPA.
M: Not unpleasant. For a 7.5 ABV IPA it drinks very smooth and easy. The alcohol is masked well.
O: Average IPA. Definitely not in the top tier, but not bottom cellar. Unique taste but not a memorable one. Good for a try in a pick six, but not much more.
