On tap into a 16oz pint glass at Stout's Pub in Falcon Heights, MN.
A: Very rich, deep amber color with a red tone. 1 finger pale head which holds nicely and leaves a spotty lace.
S: Light spiced baked goods. Brown sugar, cinnamon, ginger.
T: Gingerbread, but not overly so. Good malty backbone. Hops lend a piney tinge that certainly reminds me of Christmas. Very good overall. Not an overdone novelty beer like many winter seasonals can be.
M: A little average. Some dryness.
D: Interesting enough to keep me coming back. Would be a welcome addition to my celebration.
Serving type: on-tap
