I really loved this beer. From first sip.

Poured from bottle to snifter/beer goblet

Apperaance: Medium Amber/ 1/4 inch cream colored head - faint lacing.

Smell: Ginger/Spice/Cinnamon/Winterwonderland/ Honey. This is not a sugary beer, it's sweet with the spices. I'm amazed by the balance. I had two in a row because I was so impressed.

Taste: Perfect. Spicy, sweet, malt/hop balance.

Mouth Feel: Not over carbonated - not under cabonated.

Overall: This is the best winter warmer I've had this season. I'm kinda sad that even if I start stock piling now- the shelf life is only good til the first part of March This will be my go-to winter warmer next year, once the temps are below 32 or as available.

Pairings: Good with carbs - all winter warmers are good with something savory in my honest opinion. It's the charm of the winter warmer.

Had on-tap at Pinocchio's in Media, PA. Poured a clear golden color with a thin white head that retained well. Minimal lacing. Had an aroma of HONEY, cinnamon and sweet malts. The honey is even more prominent in the taste. The spices are certainly there as well, but wow...I have never so clearly tasted honey in a beer before. Certainly smooth and enjoyable.

Medium in body with pretty high carbonation. I finished this one pretty quickly because it was so smooth. I've had better Christmas Ales...but this one is still quite good.

Poured into a nonic pint glass.

A: This beer is gorgeous. It just looks like Christmas, pouring a beautiful, clear copper brown color, with a starkly contrasting two finger white head. The head slowly settles to a quarter finger. Really nice sticky lacing on the glass. I really love how it looks.

S: A lot of honey, cinnamon, and ginger. Some nice sweet malt. Smells like their Oktoberfest with spices added. Nice.

T: Follows the nose, with a lot of honey, ginger, cinnamon, and just a bit of toasted malt. Very easy drinking. Good.

M: It's creamy and well-carbonated. The finish isn't particularly lasting or satisfying, though. A bit watery on the back-end.

O: It's got a bit of a disappointing mouthfeel, but the rest of this beer is spot on. One of the prettiest holiday beers I have seen. Not the most complex, but sometimes that's not needed. An enjoyable winter warmer, with enough alcohol and spice to keep you toasty on a cold night. Good job.

12oz bottle

Appearance - Clear copper colour with an average size fizzy beige coloured head. There is a low level of carbonation and there is some good lacing on the sides of the glass. The head lasted for a few minutes.

Smell - Malts, all-spice, dark fruits, hay

Taste & Mouth - The beer has an average amount of carbonation and I can taste raisins, malts, and a caramel flavour. There is also a bit of a cherry and honey sweetness mixed with lots of cinnamon and clove. It ends with a spicy yet sweet aftertaste.

Overall – The beer has an interesting taste that is somewhat different that I'm used to with winter seasonal beers. It's not something that I'd want a whole lot of but i enjoyed the taste and I'd pick this one up again next holiday season.

Very nice beer. Can certainly taste all the spices: cinnamon, ginger, and also the honey is very prominent (which is probably why this drinks so smoothly, even at 7.5%).

The ginger was a little off-putting for me - not that it was overwhelming, just that I didn't feel it was quite the right spice choice for a Christmas Ale. Even so, this is one of the better Christmas Warmers out there.
