Bottle served into a snifter. Tried the previous three in pint glasses, and was more impressed with the appearance due to a more solid head and adequate lacing.
A: Pours a jet black and is topped by a fleeting brown head. Not much lacing.
S: A Myriad of scents. No Booze is present in the nose. I am getting a plethora of chocolate, coffee, and a tobacco like aroma (likely from the simcoe hop).
T: The alcohol is present in the taste; however, it is not overly harsh. Plenty of chocolate again the coffee is merely background noise. The simcoe hops are present with an almost piney bitterness.
M: Smooth & velvety. more carbonation then I was expecting.
O: Another wonderful GLBC brew!
