A- as the name implies...it's dark. But it sure aint a Black Out. The edges are a mohogany hue and it has no noticable head, possibly due to the %9.00.
S-Nice chocolate/cocoa nose.
T- Nice flavor but closer to a porter than I prefer for a strong stout. Mossy and light chocolate flavors.
M- WAY TOO THIN. It looked thin during the pour and proved to be thin on the toungue.
D Nice to try and say I have buy not living up to the hype.

Best by date of 03/16/2014. Poured into a Blind Tiger Brewery snifter.
A: Pours a finger of sudsy tan head with an ink black body. Thin webs of lacing stick to the sides with a thin dollop of head remaining in the middle of the glass and a thin ring.
S: Smells like a good RIS ought to. Brief roasted barley leading into maple syrup, caramel, coffee beans, dark chocolate, cream and sweet malts. Brings to mind rustic pancakes doused in syrup. Some green hops to peak out at the end. Though the focus is all on the grain bill here.
T: Much the same as the nose. Lots of roasted barley and chocolate malts bringing to mind all kinds of chocolate, cream, and honey. Smooth fresh roasted coffee finish with a bit of bitterness and alcohol presence.
Mf: Medium feel with low and creamy carbonation. Silky smooth. Only a small amount of alcohol peeks out to remind you of the high abv.
O: One of the better examples I've had of a RIS; and adjunct free too! Most of the hops have faded at this point so it's all gooey brownies and coffee at this point. Would kill with breakfast type foods. One to keep in the your fridge.
