20 oz imperial pint poured from 1/6 barrel keg, from Cleveland, Ohio beer pub.
One inch white head covers ruby-red liquid, impressive Belgian lace throughout.
Fruity, grapefruit, intense hop aroma. First sip does not disappoint: hops predominate with a nice smooth flavor balanced with a modest amount of malt.
Alcohol well blended and does disguise the full potency of this brew. Not for those expecting a usual ale blend.
Too bad it's a seasonal.

Bottled is aged -- best by 11/21/13, so this one probably is a year old!
Pours a deep, deep amber -- almost opaque even. Rich head of tan foam, and nice lattice lacing.
Nose is malty and grainy, with a little diacetyl, and certainly some caramel malts. Pretty typical of the style.
Flavor is rich and malty, with plenty of toasty grains and a heavy body that typifies such a heavy beer alcohol-wise. Tangy bitter touch at the finish. Overall, a surprisingly solid beer for it's age, and quite a big brew.
