This beer is colored cloudless red, with a one finger, dirty-white head. Sticky lacing clings to the sides of my imperial pint glass. The beer looks very bright when held up to sunlight.
Smells of sweet roasted malts, caramel, burnt sugar, and fruit bread. Hops are dominant upfront, however the malty sweetness is far more pronounced as the beer warms.
Tastes of bitter hops, followed by a delicate malt aftertaste.
Mouthfeel is just right. Not too light, not too heavy.
This beer is extremely quaffable. Were it not for its seasonality, this one would find itself in my regular rotation.
