12oz. bottle poured into a tulip glass.
A- Beer rarely looks THIS good. Deep amber/red color, perfect clarity, with a huge two fingers of off-white/tan head. Amazing, sticky lacing.
S- An very complex nose. Toasted bready malts, a touch of caramel and toffee are there. Earthy, floral hops with a touch of orange rind.
T- A brief, moderate bitterness starts it, the toasted, bready malts are there quickly, a balancing sweetness comes in, some orange rind as well to round it out.
M- Slicker and creamier than an IPA, but need to expect that with the increase on the malt bill. A bit dry on the finish, maybe a touch over the top.
O- A must try for the fan of hoppy red's. Well done, per usual for GLBC.
