12 oz. bottle poured into pint glass.
A Cleveland classic - "The beer with the bite."
Couldn't get enough of this beer when I had it for the first time last fall.
A: Pours a nice ruby red color with great two-finger off-white head that leaves layered sticky lacing all the way down.
S: Hop blast! Very citrusy hops, piney and very bitter. A hint of caramel sweet malt in the background.
T: Similar to the smell. Grapefruit citrus hops certainly "bite" the tongue but are well balanced by the malty aftertaste, which also leaves a lemony/grapefruit zest bitterness. Not much alcohol is detectable. Truly exceptional.
M/D: Medium-full body with enough carbonation to keep this one refreshing. Alcohol is hidden very well.
