Pours a brilliant medium golden with a frothy one inch cream head that dissipates slowly, leaving sheets of lacing.
Fresh cut grass, resin, and citrus form the initial aroma, with plasticy notes surfacing to detract from the experience. There's a solid, toasted, bready malt presence.
Flavor is more fruit-dominant, with underpinnings of mango lime zest complementing a fairly sweet malt backbone. Resin is present throughout, becoming slightly bitter at the finish. Grassiness surfaces in the aftertaste.
Body is creamy and a bit on the full side, with moderate carbonation and significant alcohol warmth.
Fairly resiny brew, a touch sweet, and a bit hot. Another solid offering by Great Lakes. Nothing spectacular, but a good dipa.
