Picked up this bottle from the brewery when I was in town.
A: Pours a very pale yellow golden color with white colored head that settles down to just a white rim of bubbles and laces the glass a little bit on the way.
S: Grassy, floral, yeast, slight citrus, lots of malt sweetness scents - definitely not a hop bomb - if I was smelling this blind I would have sworn it was some kind of Saison or something
T: I like the flavor but it wasn't what I was expecting from a DIPA. It's got a much more subdued hoppiness and citrus flavor where the sweet, non-bite malt comes out a little more. I tend to like sweet hoppy beers so I like this, but there isn't a whole lot of hoppiness! Some fruitiness lingers, like peach, apricot, and minimal citrus. Very little bitterness in the finish.
M: Full bodied and well carbonated but not really creamy or anything. Almost like a regular IPA because it's slightly thin.
D: Highly drinkable for this isn't going to destroy your palate. And I personally like the flavor, but it isn't much to style. It definitely doesn't feel like a big beer or a 9% one.

12oz bottle served in a pint glass.
Appearance: Hazy golden color.
Aroma: The smell is light and mainly of caramel malt.
Taste: It's called the monster, but there's nothing scary here. Instead, it's hops. Neither bitter nor overly floral, the taste is instead earthy and rich. The brewer lists Simcoe and Willamette as the hop varieties, and they are delicious. The finish is smooth, malty, and sweet.
Mouthfeel: Very good. I might prefer a touch more carbonation.
Overall: Don't drink it when on the water, but try it anyplace else. Hopefully the monster returns next year.
