Quite a nice looking brew. Pours a big soapy looking white head. Very clear pale golden orange body with an intense dose of carbonation bubbles streaming up the middle of the glass.
Very bready and nutty aroma right away on the nose. Hints of caramel, toffee, and a mild citrus hop aroma comes through right in the middle. Also a little bit of sweetness on the back.
A creamy, smooth, and very drinkable pale ale. Just like in the aroma lots of nutty, bready, and toffee flavors. Not a lot of hop flavor...just getting a bit of bitterness from them.
Overall this is a really good pale ale...would like a little bit more hops though. A bit more hops and this would've absolutely wow'ed me. Very enjoyable and the six pack won't be lasting long. 'I think this could be an off bottle and it is still delicious' From all the descriptions this seems like it should be a lot more hoppy. The bottle date is still fresh so it isn't old. I will be re-review this when I have the next bottle.
Bottle has been re-tasted and must say that I must've had a bad bottle, cause this one is really incredible. A beyong solid pale ale offering from Great Lakes.
