Bottle poured into a pint glass.
The appearance of this beer is a darker golden color than I expected. It has a richer, deeper color than a German styled Pilsner but not nearly as dark as a Munich styled lager. The beer didn't have much head that formed and it what did form disappeared rather quickly. The aroma of this beer is pretty rich, considering how chilled this one is (colder than I would expect). It has slight malty sweet aromas with hints of sugary alcohol. The flavor is rather light and unique. The initial flavor is a crisp and clean flavor of biscuit and honey that quickly gives way to a rather unusual hoppy flavor and bitterness. The aftertaste is a lingering flavor of the dominating hop flavor. The flavor is unusual but very enjoyable. The MF is crisp and clean and light in body.
Overall this is an interesting lager. I don't believe that I have ever had this style of lager before, but I enjoyed it. The beer is light and refreshing yet different in it's own right. Great job by a great brewery.

A: As the name suggests, it pours a bright gold hue with a small amount of carbonation. Thin head that doesn't much lacing if at all on the glass.
S: A little to be desired. A faint bready-grain wiff. Maybe some cereal. It's a pilsner, can't expect too much.
T: Extremely well balanced. The cereal is more assertive at first and then comes the sweetness from the malts. In the end, one can get a slight taste of booze, but it pairs well with the cereal.
M: Full-medium bodied. A little creamy from the carbonation. Leaves behind a small film in the mouth.
O: A simple but awesome pilsner by an always reliable brewery. There's nothing super extravagant about this beer, but it's pegged down the basics and it's done it well. Personally, I could drink this all day it's so smooth and good. If you're wanting to get into the pilsner style, start here.
