12oz bottle poured into a Great Lakes snifter.
A - Pours a dark gold, burnt amber colored body with about a finger's worth of creamy white head. Retention is low.
S - Smell is nice and floral, full of grains and a bit of biscuit dryness. Harkens me back to traveling in Europe and Germany and the vast, sweeping meadows.
T - Taste is clean and sweet upfront. Lots of dry and smooth grains and malts, and has a light fruitiness to it as well. Hops come through in the finish but are subtle and complement the malts well. Bitterness is there but, again, light and smooth and not as sharp as in some pilsners.
M - Mouthfeel is light and moderately carbonated. Could use a bit more carbonation. Finish is crisp and leaves a lasting hop bitterness.
D - Drinkability is high. A light, refreshing beer with a nice profile to it. Alcohol is well masked and the bitterness at the end isn't a deterrent.
