Appearance: Beautiful gold with wonderful tan foam. At least 2 inches of foam with this. An exceptional look by any standards.
Smell: Biscuit malts with orange and coriander. Not too strong. I had to smell this a few times in order to get anything distinct. Not a wonderful smell, but very pleasant overall.
Taste/Mouthfeel: Lots of sweet caramel or brown sugar malts. Tastes almost like burnt marshmallows towards the end. A clear alcohol presence. Very sweet, but bitter as well. Moderate hops that balance well with the caramel.
Drinkability: Very easy to drink. Can taste bitter as it warms.
Overall: Kind of a distant cousin of Goose Island Pale Ale.
Serving type: bottle
