Single bottle (11/2009 date) poured into a tumbler glass. Poured a 1/4" thick light tan foam that died down to 1/16" thick the whole way down to the bottom of the glass. Nice lacing the on the glass. The color is a dark orange-brown with some red in it. Very nice.
Smell is quite good. Very malty with maybe just a bit something sweet at the end. I can't quite place it but I do salivate thinking about it.
Taste - I get the malt up front followed by a bitter taste and then something at the end after I've swallowed. It reminds me of a buttermilk biscuit but with a hint of something bitter still in it. Either way I really like it because it's well balanced.
Mouthfeel - A little bit thick, very little carbonation on the tongue, nicely refreshing as it coats the mouth and leaves quickly. The flavor lingers but not the texture of the beer (well, at least what I can notice anyway, but I'm admittedly uneducated here).
Drinkability - I'm glad I bought a six-pack of this. This is a beer for enjoying with a meal or by itself at the end of the day, and even going back for another later on. It's a solid high quality beer for both routine and special drinking occasions in my book. I think I'd feel spoiled if I got to have this all the time...and yet I can if I want.

12oz bottle, best by 7/28/2014, poured into a FFF pint glass 7/18/2014.
A- Clear amber body with a one finger tan head, good retention, leaves a fuzzy film on top, lots of lacing all around.
S- Sweet toffee malt, earthy noble hops, some caramel, crisp banana bread, yeast. Sweet but not cloyingly so and in a refreshing way.
F- Toffee, caramel, hint of raisin, a little banana (hence banana bread in the nose), earthiness, and the signature GLBC yeast flavour. This is excellent, not perfect but just about as outstanding as any brewer can make a Vienna lager.
M- Medium bodied, refreshing and crisp yet smooth and silky at the same time. They did a great job on this one. Very drinkable, no real effects of the ABV on the flavour at all.
O- Excellent take on the style, as I would expect from GLBC and their tradition of brewing excellent lagers. Why I never reviewed this before, I'm not sure, but I ought to get around to reviewing their other offerings as well!
