An amber lager with rich, fragrant malt flavors balanced by crisp noble hops.

Scents of citrus and circus peanuts when I popped the cap. On the pour, a 3-finger head of deep cream foam formed and was slowly absorbed. In the glass, the citrus was more dominant, banana bread replaced circus peanuts. The beer itself was a transparent slightly toned copper. Citrus hits the tongue first, and that slightly bitter astringency stays throughout, though it is not unpleasant (which - tbh - is a surprise.... usually can't stand the citrus). There is a slight roundness behind and below the astringent dryness that carries something other than citrus with it... almost like cinnamon... something... oatmeal??? I can't put my finger on it, but it does make this more interesting than I initially thought it would be.

Was my go to late fall and winter beer for several years, GL seems to have changed to mix, and I'm not as fond as I used to be...if I want to waste 200 Calories and 18 carbs, I will perhaps drink one of these at a time these days...
Conway's Irish Ale is my go to Great Lakes Brew...and GL is my favorite brewery.

Appearance: This one pours a stunning dark amber with a head about an inch in height.
Aroma: Straight away citrus hop with a twinge of dryness. Caramel malt with faint lemon zest in the back.
Taste: Very well balanced. Caramel malt, faint chocolate. Citrus hop all through it.
Overall: This is definitely a buy again. Such a straight up balanced brew. Prost.

Poured into a 12 glass. Leaves a short disappearing quickly head. A little lacing down the edges of the glass. Smell is of bready, toffee and caramel. The taste is bready at first with hints of toffee and an caramel - but it just works! Wonderful taste profile. I'm really liking the malt and such a well balanced flavor profile.

The pour is amber colored with a good amount of carbonation. The taste is herbal, roasted malt, & caramel. I have to admit that this not one of my favorite styles of beer but this one was okay. Cheers! B

This one was a bit dated date said enjoy by two twenty five twenty three. It's mid september so that's a couple months past date. Very good have been in the mood for an amber. For some reason ambers have been appealing to me right now. Glad to revisit this one from time to time it's an excellent choice. The question is what category would you put this in a logger or an amber? Cheers!

This was a really good standard red/amber lager. I enjoy my craft beers and this one is acceptable as a store bought beer. I consider myself a novice, but I have been to many breweries and tried various types. I do not have the patience for the Budweiser-type, watered down beers so there’s that for my quality preferences. This is an easy to drink, smooth, not bitter amber lager I’d gladly purchase again to have around the house. Not the Best I’ve ever tasted, but definitely up there.

One of my top 3 beers off all time. I love ambers and this one is absolutely fantastic. The caramel color and in my opinion hint of "sweet" is very good. Not bitter at all. I try to be pretty real and to the point on reviews so trust me, if you like ambers, this is a must try. The Eliot Ness theme is pretty neat too.
