Appearance: A very deep amber color. Almost red. There's a very nice head on this one, and it leaves some pretty good lacing as well.

Smell: As the bottle says, a <VERY> faint hop smell. It's really barely there.

Taste: Wow. The roasted malt comes through well in this one. The sweetness with the bitterness on the finish is fantastic... VERY tasty. It works perfectly as an amber lager.

Mouthfeel: No complaints. Not much to say, other than that it's medium bodied.

Overall, I'm glad I randomly picked this up in a mix-a-six at the store I was at. I was glad to see these ratings when I got home, and even happier when I poured the glass and took a sip. This is even MORE enjoyable to me considering I've had a lot of super hoppy beers/IPAs recently. It's nice to have something a bit malty after so much of that. All-in-all, a great beer. Some may be turned off by its sweetness, but that's what I think I love about this beer. The sweetness and bitterness just works very well. Would definitely get this one again.

A: Medium amber to deep amber in color, a significant 1-2 finger head that dissipates slowly. Some lacing.

S: Sweet, light to medium notes of caramel and some spices.

T: Caramel malt taste with a slightly hoppy finish.

M: Very light and drinkable. Definitely the best feature of the beer.

D: High, dangerously high. If I lived in Ohio I'd be buying this by the six pack.

Served in a bottle at Cork City Pub in Hoboken, NJ

A: Pours a clear deep amber in color with light amounts of visible carbonation. The beer has a finger tall dense beige head that reduces to a thin film covering the majority of the surface of the beer and a thin ring at the edges of the glass. Moderate amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Light to moderate aromas of caramel malts with some sweetness as well as spices.

T: Moderate flavors of caramel malts with a light amount of sweetness. There is a light spiciness with some light to moderate amounts of bitterness which linger.

M: Medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Smooth.

O: Very easy to drink and enjoyable, I could certainly put a couple of these down in a session. Very good flavor complexity.
