A- Name of this beer says it all. This is pitch black. I was surprised though with the very little amount of head and the color. Very light colored- off white head. No lacing.
S-Smell of very smooth bourbon. Some roasty malts, and lots of coffee aroma, but the bourbon overpowers in a good way.
T- Holy Bourbon! But again, not in a bad way. Not too much burn. Some toasted flavors and coffee and vanilla really come through. Great flavor.
M- Very good. Oily texture, but a little thinner than expected. Mild carbonation.
D- Good drinkability. I think a pint might be my limit due to the bourbon flavor. But this is a great beer and I hope to try it again.
