Served at the GLBC Brew Pub. Served over President's day weekend and is Thomas Jefferson's recipe (apparently).
Appearance - very light / wheat color. little head atop the body but light blond in color.
Smell - wheaty / piney smells.
Taste - bananas and clover in the flavor, typical of the normal hefeweizen. not much alcohol in it
Mouthfeel - very sweet.
Drinkability - easy to handle due to low alcohol and carbonation.

I had this at the Great Lakes Brew Pub in Cleveland Ohio.
This beer has none of the characteristics of a heffe much less a wit beer. The waitress told us upfront it wasn't a true heffe.
Served in a pint glass. this beer was very light in the body. My fiance had the Holy Moses Wit beer and it was much darker than the Thomas Jeffe-Weizen. This beer was a clear light yellow. It could almost be mistaken for a bud light by it's color.
It had a hint of bananna and citrus but the bready hops soon took over and overpowered any other notes that may have been present.
This beer's body is thin but not watery. Overall not what I was expecting. For what it was, it was not bad. But my assessment of it being a "small beer" Dortmunder stands.
