An extra from a trade with Kirok 1999. Poured from a 12 oz. bottle into a 20 oz. beer mug.
A - A translucent orange gold with a mountainous white, fluffy head that retains very well.
S - Lots of musty hay and farmhouse funk, with a little boozyness backing it up.
T - Pepper, ginger, coriander, herbs, chamomile. An absolutely herbaceous brew. A bit unbalanced, but quite tasty and unique.
M - Nothing special; a bit watery, and the fizz is a bit lacking. But otherwise, nice and smooth.
D - It'd be great for sessioning if the flavors weren't so strong. I could probably have another one of these, but it's definitely not one that's designed for heavy drinking.
Overall - A perfectly capable Saison, if not a bit overboard with the flavors. Still enjoyed it, though.
