Poured from a 12oz bottle into a small mug. Best before 12/9/2012.

Very pale electric yellow body is capped by a thin ghost white layer of suds. Average lacing and decent retention.

Graham crackers, yeast-heavy bread, and wildflowers in the nose.

Sweet but snappy palate entry with a lasting peppery hop bitterness to offset the malt. Distinctive (Pils?) notes are flavorful but very clean. Finishes with a touch minerality and stickiness. Well balanced though I imagine there being some debate about this being a German vs a Bohemian Pils...

Light-bodied, crisp, well carbonated...

Great Lakes clearly knows how to brew a lager - this being another excellent rendition of its style...very clean and refreshing beer with no lack of flavor.

Poured a clear gold with a short-lived fizzy white head. A little hangs on, though, and leaves behind some lacing. The aroma is a light, but pleasant, offering some floral hops and a light biscuit note. The taste is good, but seems stuck deciding between going with a more noble-hop forward approach or a more bready malty path. It doesn't taste bad, but it's missing some of the depth either one of those aspects offers. It has a nice thinner weight to the body and a pleasant dry finish. It is a very good pilsner.
