Poured from the bottle into a pilsner glass, the beer was urine sample yellow. Normally, colors this bright are reserved for kids' drinks. A generous white head was a sign of powerful carbonation, which was definitely evident in the mouthfeel. A grassy aroma was present, as expected for a pilsner. In the initial taste, one gets grass, sour hay, and a mildly tart grain taste. The mild sourness continues into the aftertaste, which moves in quickly because of the carbonation. I normally skip pilsners, and now I remember why. This is a pilsner, so it is Great Lakes' attempt at a beer for non-craft drinkers. For craft beer drinkers, it tastes a little more like a high end macro-brew.

Appearance: Perfectly clear pale golden yellow hay. Head is bright-white, creamy, and tight. Decent retention on a small cap. Specks of lacing. Lively carbonation on the pour.

Smell: Grass. Light earthy herbal. Pale malts. Slightly bready. A bit of sweetness. Touches of underlying crisp apple and maybe some dry hay. Cracker like snappiness. Lager yeast. Smells bright and clean. Husky grain.

Taste: Pale grain. Husky. Grass. Nice clean earthiness. Vaguely herbal. Solid hit of lager yeast. Crisp and clean. Mild sweetness. Mild hopping. Some touches of leafy hop. Very pale. Touches of wheat. Slight bitterness on the finish of the sip.

Mouthfeel: Moderate to high carbonation. Body is a bit lighter than medium. Crisp and clean.

Overall: Right.

A decent take. Crisp and clean. Wouldn't be hard to knock back a few of these on a casual hangout. Worth drinking, but not the best out there.

On tap at the Great Lakes location in the Cleveland airport. Pours a clear straw color. Crisp and clean but without quite enough hop bite. Dry and drinkable.

Appearance - light yellow color. Nice one finger white head that disappears fairly quickly. Looks quite refreshing on this hot 4th of July.

Smell - smells of floral and wheat appear first. Ends with a hint of orange.

Taste - light refreshing beer. Quenches the thirst if that makes sense. Tinge of bitterness after swallowing. Definitely a session beer.

Mouthfeel - normal Pilsner mouthfeel.

Overall - definitely not my favorite lager, but I would say its in my upper half.

Real strong grassy nose in this. Earthy and mildly inky flavor on this, but overall fairly smooth, even though there is a noticeable bitter tone. Fairly easy to drink. If it were up to me, I'd probably tone it down and smooth it out a bit. Still a nice beer though.

Pours a brilliant golden yellow with half inch white head that leaves wispy lacing.

Cracker-like malt, grain, and light floral hops comprise the aroma. Fairly bready.

Flavor is initially crisp, with a dry finish. Somewhat short, and fairly bitter. Touch of lemon pith undertone emerges. Grainy malt throughout. Floral hops emerge late.

Body is moderate with moderate carbonation and a touch of astringency.

Overall, a refreshing beer, more citrus character than anticipated, and less cracker flavor. More bitter than most.

A: Pours a crystal clear light to medium yellow in color with moderate to heavy amounts of visible carbonation and a slight amount of golden yellow highlights. The beer had a two finger tall dense off-white head that slowly reduces to quarter finger tall thick layer covering the entire surface of the beer evenly. Very significant amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Moderate aromas of bready malts with lighter notes of grassy and floral hops.

T: Moderate to strong flavors of bready malts with some lighter flavors of grassy and floral hops. There is a moderate bitterness in the finish which lingers.

M: On the lighter side of medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Crisp and clean.

O: This is a very easy to drink beer and a good representation of the style - enjoyable flavors but a little too strong to be a session beer.
