Poured into a standard pint glass at RFD in Washington, DC.
Appearance: It's a rich reddish-amber with a fair-sized white head. Decent lacing.
Smell: Sweet, malty, and fruity. Maybe a little cherry. Good but a little faint.
Taste: Follows the nose. It's very sweet, almost to the point of cloying, even though the flavors aren't all that intense. There's a touch of earthy hops and nutty malt background. There's a little bit of spice to balance the sweetness.
Mouthfeel: Surprisingly light for the style. I'm not sure if I like it. Light-moderate carbonation, appropriate for the style. Maybe a little bit of alcohol on the finish.
Overall: Not one of my favorites, but a good bock and one I could drink again.
Serving type: on-tap
