Best before 5/3/13. 12oz bottle poured into a tulip. Pours a transparent golden color with a white head which fades pretty quickly. The aromas are amazing. Lots of sweet mango and fresh pineapple. Grapefruit rind is in the mix as well as some "onion/garlic" notes as well in the nose. This smells absolutely wonderful. The flavors are extremely tasty. Malt takes a backseat, but it's still slightly noticeable. There's a great balance between the bitterness from the hops and sweetness from the honey malt. It's a great battle. Tropical flavors, but there's still a subtle earthiness. The mouthfeel is wonderful. It feels light for such a big beer. It's extremely smooth and the carbonation makes this beer dangerously drinkable. There's a kiss of heat, but it's basically non-existent. Alcohol goes basically unnoticed although it'll give you a slap every once in awhile. This is an extremely easy drinking beer.
Bravo! Great Lakes hit a homerun with this one. I'm not being a homer. Hopheads should rejoice!
