Type: 12 oz bottle
From: Plum Market in Ann Arbor
Price: $11 a four pack
Appearance: a deep orange color with a good hint of red. pretty good clarity. Two finger off white head that leaves behind a lacing.
Smell: citrus and pine hops. a bit of toasty malts. stronger on the hop end
Taste: opens up with a strong kick of citrus, followed by slight pine that mixes with toasty malts. some bitterness but the sweetness of the malts keep this to a minimum
Mouthfeel: slight bitterness. slight warmth. good carbonation
Overall: I have just been all about the Great Lakes recently and for good reason. They make a lot of killer beers and at a competitive price. This one does not disappoint. wonderfully complex and tasty. Not overly bitter and good balance. Almost a perfect DIPA for me. Can't wait to try another Great Lakes brew
