Served in a snifter at Firkin.
I learn more about surfing from beer than anywhere else... Anyway, this stuff pours a clear sunset amber topped by a finger of light cream-white foam. The nose comprises grapefruit zest, deep grape, light toffee, grass, mixed greens, and a decent amount of chlorinated hard water. The taste brings in more of the same, though the chlorine is thankfully diminished (nearly gone entirely) and there's significantly more citrus rind to be found. The body is a light-leaning medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a drying finish. Overall, a generally solid DIPA, but one that exhibits occasional characters than just don't endear it to me.
