A - Large white head on the pour, lace clings to the glass. Excellent clarity with a nice amber body.
S - lovely range of hop aromas - tropical fruit first, but with floral and resiny pine as well. Some of the malt sweetness comes through faintly and perhaps a hint of yeast ester.
T - Complex sweet malt balances nicely with tropical fruit (pineapple), followed very quickly by resinous piney bitterness. The sweetness is somewhat reminiscent of Belgian candy sugar like you'd find in a trippel.
M - Tingling carbonation with a full body. Not as dry on the finish as some DIPA.
O - I'm a sucker for these DIPA where you get so much more than grapefruit in the character. A very enjoyable quaff that will sneak up on you.
