Pours a cloudy, nearly opaque amber, with a double-finger head. Nice, fine, treeline lace.
Aroma is wonderful and bitter citrus grapefruit hops. Very nice!
Taste is a wallop of thick, lavish hops. I get citrus again and plenty of tropical notes along the way. As well, a fairly large malt presence underscores the hop assault for balance. The body here is heavy, taste is heavy (yet, as before, balanced), and oh-so-easy to drink. A superlative IPA!

Arguably the most under rated best IPAS ever. This rare IPA is great. Border line dangerous because how tasty it is. This double is a must try. Used to go by alchemy hour I believe but re packaged as chill wave. Great flavor retention and hard to believe there's any alcohol in it. Very refreshing. But not surprised these guys are great.

Appearance: Clear, caramel color, with huge bubbles in the off-white head.
Aroma: Spicy, citrus aroma, with a sweet, clean fruit smell I’d liken to gummi candy. Citrus character is juicy, like tangerine.
Taste & Mouthfeel: Texture is a bit flat, with very little carbonation. Flavor on the tongue is that of light tangerine and strong, resiny hops, which is quickly balanced by a sweet, smoky malt flavor in the finish.
Final Word: A fantastically balanced Double IPA! While the description of the flavors might have seemed fairly straightforward or basic, it’s how rich and balanced those flavors are that makes this beer special. The hop forward nature of the brew allows the flavors and aromas of the hops to be fully expressed and experienced, while still giving the balancing malts their time to shine in the finish. Hop heads will love the strong flavors of their favorite ingredient, while those of us looking for drinkability still have a beer that finishes smoothly and easily! This beer is a must try for any beer lover, and is a great IPA to keep on hand. Drinkers unaccustomed to strong hop profiles might still be overwhelmed by the hop flavors here, but anyone with a few IPAs under their belts will find this beer very satisfying!
