Appearance: Golden color with slight haze from yeast. Small but persistent white head.
Smell: Predominantly orange, with notes of pine, orange peel, and faint licorice.
Taste: Tangy at first, almost like lemonade. Mid-palate displays the hops, some cloves, and some orange character. Finish pulls out more hops, and a character reminiscent of rye bread with caraway seeds. The hops really dominate this brew, as they do with most of GLBC's beers that I've tried.
Mouthfeel: Somewhere between light- and medium-bodied, with moderate bead.
Drinkability: I just wasn't excited about this beer. It's not a bad beer, but there are certainly more interesting examples of the style out there.
