I feel lucky to live in Cleveland with the GLBC. As good as their regular offerings are, their seasonals are really where they shine, and this beer is a prime example of that.
This beer pours a hazy pale gold with a wonderful fluffy white head. The slowly rising bubbles both speak for the beers mouthfeel and replenish the head throughout drinking. The smell has heavy notes of clove and chamomile with coriander spice taking up the rear.
The taste promised by the nose is not disappointing. Overall, it is quite yeasty, with a hoppy bite at the sides of the tongue. Smoke, vanilla and orange are also present, and support the breadiness of the beer nicely. All the flavors hit more strongly then other offerings of the style (such as Hoegaarden) - this is not a shy beer at all. The mouthfeel is superb smooth and velvety that slides down the throat. With just a bit more effervescence would be a 5.
