Dated 6/14/07... last in a sixpack, drank the others fast.
Hazy dull gold, head retains well with a thick white lace. Very uniform, looks like an icon for a beer.
Smells like oranges, tangerines, and bananas. Definitely getting a lot of wheat and banana esters. And pineapples... it's a fruit basket. The chamomile is responsible for that I think.
I've had hop bombs and malt bombs... this is a banana bomb. Chamomile and orange peel go well with it. Strong wheat base with modest hop presence. Like a small Belgian, there are hints of cloves. Could use just a bit more hops or malt to balance the sweetness.
Medium mouthfeel, medium carbonation, sort of like Goldilocks' porridge, this is just right.
Very drinkable, I burned through the six fast. I don't have this by the case at my store but I will be heading back for another 6er ASAP. I meant to drink the rest of this during "Entourage" but looking down at my glass I see it's time for another beer.
