I've been to Great Lakes several times since moving to Cleveland for law school and am always impressed. They only have their own beer on tap, which is no problem. I have yet to have a bad beer from them and their taps are constantly rotating. They always have their year round offerings on tap (Ed Fitz, Dortmunder, Com. Perry, Elliot Ness and Burning River), plus their seasonals and several brewery only offerings. The brewery only releases are usually really good - I especially recommend "Quitness" (dry-hopped IPA) and Wolfhead Stout (dry Irish Stout).
Great Lakes brings the same attention to quality to their food as they do their beer. Everything on the menu is tasty - I've enjoyed their pretzels, cheese plates, sweet potato ravioli and burgers. I'm actually writing this review after returning from St. Patrick's Day dinner at the brewpub - it was truly excellent. Really great corned beef and soda bread.
I find the atmosphere here can get a little noisy, especially on weekends. The waits tend to get excessive on weekends too. These are both the result of the brewery's increasing popularity, which you cannot really fault.
Overall, Great Lakes' brewpub is a great place to grab dinner and some great beer. Definitely stop by if you're in Cleveland.

This place is a lot of fun- Great Lakes' beers are always good, sometimes great and the food is really tasty. If you go in the summer, sitting outside is a must.
Beer I would recommend- Dortmunder, Oktoberfest when it's out, blackout stout when it's out, Edmund Fitzgerald, burning river. Hopheads, this is not really your kind of place but go ahead and try Lake Erie monster or nosferatu when in season or branch out and try some of their awesome German style beers.
In terms of food- the old world burger, chicken sandwich on a pretzel roll, or pretzel encrusted chicken with garlic mashes potatoes and pale ale mustard. Seriously the stuff with pretzels is awesome.
Service is fine- never have had bad service and have had good service most of the time. Could be more attentive but hey it's a brewpub. Definitely a place to check out if you're in Cleveland.

This rating is mainly due to the great beers they make. All of them are very good and a couple are really excellent. The food was only ok i thought. The service was a little shy of ok. Not really bad but definitely not good. This would be higher if the food and service at this place were nearly as good as the beer.
