A lightly golden American pale ale using 100% Cascade hops. A great introductory brew for the novice craft brew connoisseur, this session beer is an old dependable amongst our regular patrons at a conservative 4.9% ABV.

On tap at the brewpub. This was poured into a pint glass. The appearance was a pale/burnt malty bronzed/semi-burnt orange color. Thin white foamy head that quickly dissipated. Light lacing ran here and there. The smell had a ton of pale burnt toasty crisp sweet malts up front, really coming through like an English pale ale but nothing close to any "soapiness" normally associated with the style. The taste was basically the same with a smooth sweet malty feel sliding into the aftertaste and finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a great sessionability about it. Carbonation rides super light and ends up creating a semi-creamy sort of effect rolling over my tongue. Overall, yeah, this is not an APA, definitely leans towards the English styled pale ale with the malts really embracing the aroma, flavor and feel. I’d have again.

From notes
App- Pale/golden in color in the 13 srm range. White head lasts about minute. Lacing and ring last for awhile. No haze or floaties.
Aroma- Biscuit/toasted malt notes with lite hop aroma in the background.
Flavor- Nice hop/malt balance. Thin mouth-feel seems over Co2. Light hoppiness.
O/D- Seemed closer to English style with the lite bitterness- the extra CO2. Good drink ability with low abv but not very intriguing.

Pours a nice light amber color with a two finger head that fades. Carbonation seems brisk.
Aroma is smooth with the aroma of malt and cascade hops. Bready.
Taste is full of grassy cascade hops and biscuit malt. Very tasty upfront. Smooth.
Mouthfeel is full of lingering hops and biscuit malt. Carbonation seems high but doesn't hurt this beer.
At 4 percent, this is awesome. Drinkable and you could have a few in one sitting. Very good.

Off the tap at their location in Bristol (thanks Jon!) this APA was an amber color with great clarity. The head was a finger's worth of light beige/cream-colored bubbles that retained pretty well and left good lacing too. The aroma was soft and clean, floral hops amidst mild caramel malt. The flavors were more hoppy than the aroma suggested, Cascade hops being the dominant variety present in a citrusy and mildly floral way with notes of wood and pale malt that offered balance. Semi-bitter and rather acidic. The finish was crisp and tongue coating. The mouthfeel was average, the body medium and the carbonation medium/high.
