A: I have never seen a beer so violently carbonated. after the pour, just looking in the glass, it is violently alive. torrents carbonation not just rising to the top but spiraling in bursts. absolutely insane. I've never seen anything like it. Has left an enormous 5 finger fluffy head which continues to shapeshift as it grows and shrinks. dark gold in color. transparent when you can see through the carbonation, until the head settles enough to pour the rest of the beer and the yeast at the bottom makes it cloudy.
S: plasticy, styrofoam. That is pretty strong. Beneath that it's a slightly sweet dirty wheat.
T: Not so plasticy. I know I said this is a Maerzen, but it's really a style of it's own. I've never had a beer like it. So it does have a dirty hoppiness to it, but not so bitter or sharp. Somehow it's smooth with a creaminess to it. Totally unique.
M: There's both a very mild bitterness, but also a smooth, creaminess.
O: Very special. A must try. It's so refreshing to have a different tasting German beer, and shocking since it's brewed within the Reinheitsgebot.
