Looks like a tripel-yellow gold with a slight white head coating the surface. Ripe fruit (apple, banana, pear, citrus) and spice (besides typical clove, nutmeg and cinnamon) in the aroma. Very dry with some fruit flavor in the beginning, then bitterness, ending in alcohol warmth with a touch of creaminess. Just a whiff of the pumpkin pie spices as I exhale after a sip, but not sure that I'd get that if I wasn't looking for it. Not a great example of a tripel.

look: 2.75 | smell: 4.25 | taste: 4 | feel: 3.5 | overall: 3.75

Appearance: Hazy yellow glass fails to hold much of a head, no lacing.

Smell: Pumpkin pie spices with some fleshy papaya esters. Spices notes at a good level that lets some grainy malt come through.

Taste: Pumpkin pie spices are firm, go a bit dry and powdery in the finish Balance is pretty good letting the malt, spice, ester flavors meld.

Mouthfeel: A bit flat, very dry, light body, almost watery

Overall: An enjoyable beer with a firm flavor. Not going to be fro everyone, but a nice sipper.

Thanks to Illudium for the sample!

This beer takes some time to settle, lots of roiling activity continuing well after the pour is finished. It finally settles a clear gold-orange with what appear to be some yeasty floaties swimming around. The head is creamy and tight, just slightly tinted, and drops slowly to a solid foam. Lacing consists mostly of patching mixed with spotting.
With the spicing, some sweet and mostly the less sweet kitchen variety, and the pumpkin flesh, it does bear a resemblance to pumpkin pie. Some of the spicing and the earthier tones may be the Belgian yeast and, while there's a subtle sweetness, there's not as much as the style can give. That's not a bad thing, and it works for this beer. Lots of peppery spiciness and floral hops lend complexity to its overall character.
There's a bit more fruitiness in the middle of this beer, and the alcohol's a bit hotter. It's still mildly sweet and very spicy, lots of pepper biting, earthy and, with the leafy hops, leaning much dryer into the finish. It gets quite a bit sweeter as it goes, downright juicy at one point. Pumpkin flesh works pretty well in the midst of it all, though not as well as the nose altogether.
The medium body offers a nice, creamy smoothness off a light crispness. The overall effect is clean, even as it dries out into the finish.
