8.6 oz can was poured into a snifter.
Appearance: This beer poured a one finger head that reduced to a thin layer. It is a dark copper color with good clarity and slow moving bubbles coming up through the glass.
Smell: Caramel, toffee, toasted malts, a little booze, tangerine, and grapefruit. Booze is hidden really well.
Taste: Really a lot of citrus happiness. All the malts have take a step back and aren't as balanced as I would think. Tingly bitterness in the rear too.
Mouthfeel: Smooth, boozy, medium to full bodied, tingly bitterness, and medium carbonation.
Overall: Pretty solid beer. Might have to age the 3 other cans from the 4 pack to mellow out the hops.

From a tiny little can, this barley wine is a hazy chestnut color with a thin head. It is very dry, with a lot of citrusy and resiny hops. Perfume, fruit (ripe prach and orange) alcoholic scents dominate the beer. The taste has malt and sugar flavors. Heavy bitterness. Full and rich mouthfeel.
