Agressive pour into my trusty ol Samual Smith IPA glass.Pours a big frothy head.Did not have to wait too long to wait for said head to go away.Smells like a typical west coast IPA.First sip I thought this was a Sculpin it is that close.Bitter to the core.Maybe a little too bitter. All in all a decent IPA and I would most likely buy again but I like to try new things and it would not be my first choice.Still a well done IPA.

Enjoy By: 01/01/15

A: Pours a golden color with 2+ fingers of head that fades down to a thin cap that leaves sticky lacing down the glass

S: Some earthy and citrusy hops balanced out by a sturdy maltiness. A bit of fruity yeastiness as well

T: Follows the nose. Balanced from the start, with a mix of citrus, fruitiness, grassy/earthiness, and a bit of breadiness. Bitter throughout

M: Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. A little on the prickly/abrasive side

O: A solid IPA that is very well balanced and extremely easy to drink. The IBUs definitely smack you around a little towards the end, as there is almost no residual sweetness to counteract the bitterness. If you're really into juicy IPAs, stay away. Otherwise, pick some up

Soft, round flavor for a west coast ipa, note on front is subdued and finish does not linger as expected.

Nose: well balanced between citrusy, resiny hops and rich malt. Hops exhibit some grapefruit notes and you can also smell some caramel from the malt.
Pours brilliant amber under a 2" bone white finely bubbled foam cap.
Medium to medium high carbonation, medium body.
On the palate the hops are medium high with big grapefruit flavors riding on a caramel seasoned malt backbone.
Drinkable and refreshing.

Crystal clear apricot orangey yellow with an eggshell colored head that settles out slowly. Aroma of citrus and pine, some floral and minty hops.

Flavor is similar to the nose, lots of citrus and piney hops, moderate bitterness, but well balanced with a honey malt backbone. Semi slick mouthfeel, finishes tingly. Good beer.

I thought this was a very solid, albeit not spectacular, IPA. I prefer this over the other selection I had from this brewer. Love the artwork on the can and packaging.

Poured rom a 12 oz. can poured into a pint glass.
Aroma- Basic IPA aroma of hops and more hops, might have a little floral essence tossed in also.
Appearance- Nice looking brew, a fairly clear golden orange with a small white head.
Taste- Has a nice hoppy flavor with a wee bit of citrus.
Palate- A medium bodied brew with moderate to light carbonation. has a nice dry finish.
Overall- A nice IPA, I would drink this again.

Pours slightly hazy and golden amber in color with a solid finger of frothy off-white foam.

Grapefruit, guava, orange zest, piney/grassy hops, and a subtle toasted malt note. Nice, but not mind-blowing.

The overall taste and flavor of this beer is where is starts to fall off. While the aroma was subtle, it was only slightly above average and the flavor is definitely only average. The toasted malt comes out to play a bit more and the tropical and citrusy flavors fade, but the grassiness remains. Just average. Good, but not great.

Light-medium bodied, medium-high carbonation, soft, subtle, some prickly carbonation.

Overall, I was slightly impressed with this beer, but I definitely feel it could use some tweaks to the recipe to really make it stand out over the plethora of other IPAs out there to purchase instead.

12oz can poured into pint glass, enjoy by 3/15

A- pours a slightly hazy pale golden color with a small creamy and foamy white head that reduces to a layer of film floating on top, no lacing

S- caramel biscuit malt with some piney, grassy and floral hop aromas

T- floral and grassy hop flavors up front with a hint of citrus, sweet caramel and bready malt backbone closes it out with a sweet linger

M- medium body with medium carbonation leads to a creamy mouthfeel that continues into the finish

O- pretty balanced for an Ripa, easy drinking and hides the alcohol well

Can poured into a BarrelHouse Brewing Co pint glass

A: Pours deep golden yellow with a frothy off white head than hangs around for a while and laces well.

S: Citrus hops, grapefruit, a little orange, a hint of tropical fruit, some caramel malt sweetness, and maybe even light herbal notes.

T: Sweet caramel malt, citrus, tangerine and a little grapefruit, some hints of tropical fruit, and a little light spiciness.

M: Medium body, moderate carbonation that keeps it from getting too syrupy thick.

O: A little under rated in my opinion. Not a world beater, but very drinkable and a solid stand by.

I was surprised by the grapefruit hop notes were so present in this beer. It had been a few years since I had one and I am happy to say it will not be so long before the next!

poured 12oz can into snifter. Enjoy by 5/6/15.

S - Hop aromas of citrus, grass and tropical fruit. The malts are caramel and honey, but on the lighter side.

T - Starts off semi sweet and finishes with a bitterness. Hop notes of citrus, grapefruit, and pine. Malts are lighter with notes of caramel.

M - Medium body, moderate carbonation that finishes dry.

O - Another decent canned IPA.

Golden color with excellent clarity. Fine bubble egg shell head. Strong nose of citrus and some pine. The palatte is very well balanced between hops and malts. The taste is mostly resin with floral notes. Smooth, light, and crisp.

This is good, not excellent. Typical of west coast IPAs.

12oz can in a stemmed tulip glass.

A- Golden amber color, bright yet slightly hazy. Big fluffy white head, spider web lacing.

S-Citrus, earthy, malt, onion.

T- Juicy citrus taste.

M-Good body and carb. Citrus hop zing, hoppy finish. Not bitter.

O- Flavorful and a good drinker. The aroma was just slightly off for me.

A: [4.00] Slightly clouded golden color. The pour formed a 2 finger white head. The can lists ABV (7%) BU (70) and drink by (12/13/14)

S: [3.50] Initial aroma I got was grapefruit then grassy/piney smell.

T: [2.25] Not what I expected. Nothing like the nose. The flavor is there but I am not sure that I like it. Seems like a mild bitter taste with no malty sweetness and no citrus (like in the nose).

M: [2.50] Decent carbonation but the mouthfeel is a little dry due to the bitter front to back on the palate.

O: [2.50] The taste is almost artificial tasting. It is hard to describe - like a mild solvent maybe. I guess that is harsh - but the beer is not one I'd grab for again.
