Poured from a 12 ounce, nice looking can into a pint glass
A: Comes from the can with a semi-hazy, golden body that looks a little different than other IPAs. Splotchy laces roll down the side of the glass into the small, white cap of a head that quickly settles on the beer. Nothing special but not bad.
S: Flowery, perfume like notes dominate the hop profile with a certain character of honey lurking in the background. There is a distinct biscuity goodness that props up the the nose as well.
T: Tips the tongue with the all familiar rush of hoppy goodness, dominated by the floral character of hops with. A little bit one-sided in its character upfront. Slight notes of potpourri come through but don't detract from the overall profile. Finishes with a sweet, malt backbone a twinge of bitterness.
M: Medium bodied with an oily slickness as it touches the lips. Good balance of carbonation with an attractive mouthfeel and little hint of alcohol for a 7% brew. Doesn't overstay it's welcome on the palate and finishes dry.
O: By no means a bad IPA, but by no means one of the best. In such a saturated market, it's hard to stand out so I can't knock 21st Amendment Brewery for putting out another solid IPA that simply blends among its myriad of peers. However, at $7.99 a 6 pack (in cans which are a plus for the style), the brewery drives a hard bargain for a no-frills, easy drinking IPA.
