Cans drank at the beach this past weekend.

Did not pour it out, as I was in the water but apparently it's a hazy orange.

Smells like sweet fruits, but not necessarily watermelon. Some wheat is noticed on the nose too.

The taste is similar. It's a standard crisp American pale wheat, with a crisp finish that is accentuated by a mild but juicy watermelon flavor. It's subtle, and doesn't overwhelm the palate or become cloying. The base wheat beer is slightly bitter, and a little bit yeasty- the sweetness from the watermelon keeps both of those in check. The beer is understandably a little watery.

Light bodied, crisp, refreshing mouthfeel- perfect for the situation. High carbonation.

Overall not too bad- it's not a world beater, though. The watermelon flavor is nice, but the base beer could be a little bit better.

Pours a clear pale yellow with a nice white head that diminishes very fast. Nose is pale malt and some slight wheat. Taste follows with slight wheat flavor, and a decent dose of watermelon. It's like candy watermelon though, not real watermelon. The WM flavor is there, but the wheat beer is missing. Mouthfeel is too thin. Drinkability is pretty good. Overall an interesting concoction, but probably one I won't visit again. Their IPA is great, but this one just slightly misses the mark for me.

A: pours a hazy straw yellow into an American shaker pint with a solid finger of fluffy white head that leaves some spotty lacing.

S: Wheat, sweet light malts and a hint of watermelon. some floral hops.

T: Heavy on the wheat and noticable light malt backbone, comparable as good to a hefeweizen and with the addition of the subtle watermelon that slowly takes the tongue by surprise makes this beer stand out.

MF: What we as advocates should come to expect from a light summer beer; refreshing, light soft body and good effervescence.

O: This has slowly become my favorite "tubing down the river" beer by beating out Butternuts Hefe. The can makes it portable while the lower ABV makes it great for having a bunch while floating and staying coordinated enough to scale the muddy hill back to the car. I wouldnt get this for much of any thing else except maybe a hot day on a boat or maybe a company picnic.

Normally, I stay away from fruit flavored beers because they often come across tasting like candy or are just too sweet for my liking. But not with Hell or High Watermelon. You get a hint of the watermelon and it doesn't over power other parts of the beer. It's actually one of my go to beers to bring to summertime BBQ's at the neighborhood pool. It's very refreshing to drink on a hot summer's day.

Poured from the can into a DFH Snifter.

A--Pours a light golden yellow with a small white head that didn't last long. Not much retention throughout the beer

S--First thing I get is the watermelon concentrate. It's a sickly sweet taste. From there I get a bit of wheat and some yeast. Light smelling, but it has a prominence to it.

T--The watermelon is nice. Then comes a wheat aftertaste. Finishes with a bit of a yeast bill on the palate.

M--Very light bodied. Tiny bit of carbonation. Water feel as well.

O--This is the perfect beer and my go-to for a brew to take with me to South Beach on the weekends. Overall, though, there are better wheat beers out there. I would recommend it for what it is. Something I will pick up again.
